For the past several years, I’ve taken the lead on two City Council goals:

  • Visioning future development along the St. Vrain River Corridor from Martin Street to Main Street.
  • Growing our child-care capacity and early learning opportunities for all Longmont children.

I’m proud that my leadership on these two goals led to the City’s STEAM project (see the City’s Engage Longmont platform for more information: https://engage.longmontcolorado.gov/), the Longmont Early Childhood Community Coalition, and a plan for meeting parent and employer needs for affordable, accessible, high quality, reliable child-care and early learning options.

I also championed a change in Longmont’s City Charter which was approved by Longmont voters in 2020. This change allows greater investor and City of Longmont flexibility to capitalize on private investment in City owned land to produce public amenities without tax increases.
